Adjusting to the altitude and running up a very steep course is physically demanding, and quite the mental challenge. I was like, hey, I’m Canadian, but there’s no Canadian team! There are breaks and aid stations where you can refuel with food and water, but it’s continuous. It can take up to 24 hours, depending on the person. For my training, it will be lots of long runs in the mountains, and just hours spent on my feet getting used to being uncomfortable.”","fontSize":"","dropCap":false},"innerBlocks":[]},{"name":"core/paragraph","attributes":{"__typename":"WpCoreParagraphBlockAttributes","backgroundColor":"","textColor":"","className":"","align":"","direction":"","content":"Naïa thinks that her dedication to yoga, for which she is a qualified teacher, is the reason she has remained injury-free despite the intense trials she has put her body through. Among her running achievements, she has come 1st in Age Group for the Transvulcania Half-Marathon in La Palma, 1st in Age Group for XTERRA 21km, raced the Pisgah Mountain 50km trail race, and completed the Tour du Mont Blanc
