Celebrating alumni impact in Nigeria

University of Wolverhampton alumna Sesi Oluwatoyin Orere has been recognised on the global stage after being shortlisted as a national finalist in the prestigious Study UK Alumni Awards 2026 in Nigeria. Hosted by the British Council, the awards celebrate outstanding UK graduates making a meaningful impact worldwide, making Sesi’s achievement a significant honour for both her and the university community.

Shortlisted in the Business and Innovation category, Sesi’s work in entrepreneurial development and leadership continues to inspire, reflecting the university’s commitment to nurturing forward-thinking, globally minded graduates.

The awards ceremony in Lagos brought together inspiring alumni from across the country, with Sesi proudly representing Wolverhampton. A strong sense of alumni spirit was also on display, as fellow alumnus and Nigeria Alumni Association Ambassador, Chima Victor Kalu travelled within Nigeria to support her – a powerful example of the strength, pride and camaraderie within the Wolverhampton alumni network.
